Hello Dear Friends,

 

Lee Cook and Tina Wood have just returned from a beautiful trip to New Mexico where we had the privilege to meet with Flordemayo, one of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers from the International Council. We visited on her beautiful land where she is building a Sacred Seed Temple. There we created the concept for a unique and precious time together, where she would share with a small group of us, her sacred ancestral teachings. Flordemayo is considered a Universal Healer.

 

She has kindly invited us to her blessed land to spend special time with her and learn about the healing ritual of Sacred Bathing. This ritual has been handed down throughout time in Central America to clear energies from way back.  The bath is essential as a ritual to prepare oneself for the major shifts and changes in our times.  We want you to feel comfortable knowing that this healing ritual ceremony is done without an actual bath tub and with clothes on, although if you would like, you may wear a bathing suit.

August 24 - 26, 2012

Near Albuquerque, New Mexico

 

Born the youngest of 15 children in the highlands of Central America, Flordemayo was found at an early age - like others in her family - to have the gift of Sight. By age four, she was being trained in the art of curanderismo which had been handed down from mother to daughter for many generations. Flordemayo's mother was a midwife and healer and taught her daughters in the use of herbs, women's medicine and how women are to honor and care for the Earth.

 

Additionally, Flordemayo is a master storyteller with many good stories to tell. On her 40 acres, sitting atop an aquifer of pure water is the Sacred Seed Temple, which she has been asked to build. There, the intention is to preserve and bless the seeds for the next generations, protecting them with prayer and ritual. This land is where we will gather for our sacred ceremony.                                       

 

Flordemayo is the recipient of the Martin de La Cruz Award for Alternative Healing, a prestigious honor given by the International Congress of Traditional Medicine. Flordemayo is also a founding director of the Institute for Natural and Traditional Knowledge.

 

We feel privileged to have this special time with Grandmother Flordemayo.  She will share with us tools for empowerment and her ancient wisdom of many things, including Sacred Bathing. This is a healing ritual that is important for all people, women and men, in order to experience clearing and balance. Flordemayo will be with us all day on Saturday and on Sunday morning to help us, teach us and support us as we go through the process of this healing. 

 

It is an honor to have this opportunity to be close to Flordemayo, who is an amazing source of wisdom and a powerful healer. This Grandmother has studied the Indigenous Teachings all her life. If you feel moved to be there with us, please read our itinerary, below.

Itinerary:

 

Friday, August 24

Arrive Albuquerque International Airport by 6:00PM Please schedule Flt arrival before 6:00PM.

We will go in our rented vehicles to a restaurant for dinner in Albuquerque and then drive to our hotel near the land, a 1 1/2 hour drive.

 

Saturday, August 25

Breakfast at the Hotel

9:00am: Leave for the workshop, driving our rentals.

9:30 - 6:00 Gathering on the land with sacred teachings and healing by Flordemayo. Organic fresh home cooked Lunch and Dinner served. Also, snacks and beverages provided.

Return to Hotel. 

Evening: Possibly return to the land for a starry sky night watch.

 

Sunday, August 26

Breakfast at the Hotel, check out

9:00am  Leave for the workshop, driving our rentals.

Continuation of Sacred Teachings and Ceremony

Snack and Organic home cooked Lunch and beverages served.

1:00pm Leave for the airport. Please schedule flights for departure after 4:00PM.

 

Note: If you would like to save the cost of flying and want to drive instead, we can help arrange carpools. Also, there would be a $25.00 deduction from the total workshop fee, since you would not be sharing the rental vehicles.

 

Cost: $375.00 ($350.00 if driving/carpooling)

Note: All money paid to Flordemayo will be given to the Path and Flordemayo's nonprofit projects.

All additional items not on the itinerary such as extra beverages, snacks, etc

Trip Insurance

Health or medical coverage.

Gas or transportation if you decide to drive on your own.

 

 

Note: If you would like to drive to the Workshop, instead of flying to Albuquerque, we will give you directions after you register. We will be able to deduct $25.00 from the total cost of the package, since you will be driving yourself to the events and not using our rentals. Please let us know of your plans.

 

We need to submit full payment before the workshop by August 1, 2012. So, we ask that you pay in full when you register. If you need to cancel your trip, you may do so with a refund, minus $125.00 non refundable amount, until July 30. After that time, there will be no refund.
